Our Mission
We sponsor innovation in our schools.
Who We Are
The Glassboro Education Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization, independent of the Glassboro Board of Education. We supplement (not replace) public funding to improve the education process in our public schools. The GEF is governed by a Board of Trustees, comprised of business and community leaders, parents, and educators.
What We Do
We “sponsor innovation” through grants in our schools. These grants provide “seed money” for new initiatives. We use a competitive application and award process to distribute funds.
We raise money through fund-raising activities and accepting donations.
Who Benefits
GEF grants provide students with special projects, programs, and experiences not currently part of the school’s curriculum.
We award teachers with grant funding to initiate innovative initiatives that enrich knowledge and incubate new tools and techniques.
Why We Need Your Support
The GEF raises our own money to fund grants. The GEF’s Board of Trustees continuously looks to add dedicated talented citizens to the board to expand the contributions the GEF may make to the schools and community.
